6 March Dr Alison Mathewson and Neil Isherwood

Today was undoubtedly one of the calmest weddings I have ever shot. Even the most positive and upbeat brides and grooms at most weddings get the jitters at some point. It might be their aversion to public speaking or worries about dropping the ring or Uncle Albert falling off the stage like he did at the bride's sister's wedding etc. Today however Alison and Neil were so wrapped up in having a good time on their wedding day that anything else was pretty much an irrelevance. And rightly so. It was a beautiful day and quite clearly these two young people are so right for each other. It was as Alison later said, a perfect day.

Part of our consultation involves explaining what we will be doing and for how long and what the bride and groom can expect. To summarise it's a case of "leave the photography to us and enjoy your day". Neil and Alison certainly didn't need a second telling.

They're now off to Colorado for a skiing honeymoon in Vail and Aspen. Come back safely.
